Privacy Policy
Version 1.0
Last updated: May 29, 2026
Rigid Software ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our applications collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our software and services.
1. Local Data Storage & Privacy Philosophy
Rigid Software applications are designed to work primarily on your device. Most business, inventory, product, sales, customer, and reporting data is stored locally on your device using native platform storage.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not track you across apps or websites.
2. Weather Information & Location Data
Some features may use Apple WeatherKit to display weather information inside the application.
To provide local weather updates, the application may request access to your location-related information, such as your current city or approximate location, depending on the permissions you grant on your device.
This location data is processed locally or sent directly to Apple's WeatherKit API. Rigid Software never transfers, stores, or monitors your location data on external servers.
3. iCloud and CloudKit Sync
Rigid Software applications may use Apple iCloud and CloudKit services to securely sync selected application data between your own devices.
When CloudKit sync is enabled, your data is transmitted directly to and stored in your personal, private iCloud account.
We do not intentionally access, monitor, or use data stored within your personal iCloud account except as required to provide synchronization functionality.
4. Data We Do Not Collect
Rigid Software does not intentionally collect, store, or process sensitive personal data, including:
- Payment card numbers
- Government identification numbers
- Passwords
- Health information
- Advertising identifiers
5. Support Contact and Information Collection
If you voluntarily contact us for customer support, we may receive information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, message content, screenshots, or device diagnostic details.
We use this information only to respond to your inquiries and improve our services.
We do not use support contact information for marketing purposes.
6. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties.
Aside from Apple infrastructure required for app functionality (such as iCloud, CloudKit, and WeatherKit), no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking technologies are embedded in our applications.
7. Data Security
We leverage platform-provided Apple technologies, including secure local storage and encrypted CloudKit transfers, to help protect your data.
However, security also depends on your device's safety. We recommend protecting your device with passcodes, biometrics, and appropriate security settings.
8. User Rights and Control (GDPR / CCPA)
You have full control over your data.
You can manage application permissions, including location services and iCloud synchronization, directly from your device settings at any time.
Depending on your location, including the European Union and California, you may have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of personal information you voluntarily provide to us, such as support communications.
9. Children's Privacy
Our applications are not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or 16 where required by applicable law).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or services.
Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
